SPRING in the color!

It's almost spring, so don't be afraid to pull out the color, in eyeliners, shadows and lipsticks! Let's do it! Let the elements of nature that excite you show in your makeup trends. Pink is the eyeshadow of the season; however this season is more about the LIP! With a pouted pink lip or a rosy bitten lip, you will be following the trends. (Product of choice: MAC GaGa and Cyndi Lauper lipsticks, or Nars Turkish Delight)

This picture is my lips with Mac Cyndi Lauper on:

The best way to get your lips to pop this spring is to highlight your cupids bow, the V on your lip with a silver or gold shimmer highlighter. Then apply a clear or natural lip liner to the lip to keep your lip shade, even glosses from feathering. (Product of choice: Urban Decay Ozone lip liner, or Two Faced Borderline, the most amazing liner is Benefits Cupid's Bow, it's a double sided pencil, one side is a natural lip liner and the other is a higlighting liner, it's AWESOME!)

Lip Stains are a good way to keep your lips in place. Many stains can be drying though, so try to find something more hydrating. (Product of choice: Tarte lip stains, they hydrate the lip to the extreme.) If you already have a lip stain that you love but it's drying, apply a lip balm before or after the stain to keep your lips from peeling. The winter can really dry the lips, and especially with cold season here your lips can become sensitive and dry. If this is the case, exfoliate the lip. This will remove the dry skin gentley. (Product of choice: Laura Gellar lip scrub, or Fresh Lemon Sugar- the best balm, and it has lemon to lightly exfoliate, a must have on my night stand!)

Now go out there and pucker up those pouters!
