Freakin' Sweet!

Guess who got a sweet blog award? This defintely made my night! Today was a good day, I have to admit. Got a massage at a top salon with my mother (it was her Mom's day gift). Then I saw my man, and we just had a good time relaxing. It's always good when the person you're hanging out with is in the same mood as you. We were both mushy mushes. Then I get home to find I've been nominated for my first award, SWEET!

I would LOVE to thank Winnie for presenting the award to me. So lovely!

The rules to be followed are:
- Give this award to 10 sweet and friendly bloggers
- Make a post about the award including the picture and mention the person who gave it to you
- Put the award on your blog
- Let your nominated 10 know you've awarded them by leaving a comment

I will be nominating:

Winnie

A great blog post..

I love reading other peoples beauty blogs so much too! I stumbled across The Makup Drawer and she posted a blog about what ingredients are blended inside our favorite beauty products, I just had to share this!

Here is the link: The Makeup Drawer

Have fun reading, I know I did.

Sad thing is now that I'm informed of this, I'm still not going to read my ingredients list on my favorite beauty products because I'm not brave enough.. I don't want to give them up. lol

MOST embarassing makeup moments!

I share a few embarrassing makeup moments. We’ve all been there…

These are the typical ones that I feel we’ve all faced:

1. Lipstick on the teeth. This one’s tricky because even the person informing you of the lipstick mishap are embarrassed to tell you. The technique is when you’re wearing a bright/dark lip constantly check your pout in a travel mirror. But if it happens, it happens. I never let a friend wear lipstick on their teeth.

2. Lipstick/gloss on our coffee mug in public. (Maybe it’s just me) Technique: I always use a straw.

3. Crying is embarrassingly vulnerable enough, but it’s worse when mascaras melting down your face. (Especially in front of your lover)

4. False lashes that come off throughout the night, it’s awkward and annoying.

5. Greasy T-zone can be embarrassing. (Solution: primer, setting powder, setting mist, or blotting papers).

Ok so for my MOST embarrassing makeup moment: Now this is top secret embarrassing! I am going to open up and let it out there, as much as I want to laugh and hide at the same time.

Alright, so one night I had an itch in my throat all night, and I was getting so aggravated trying to sleep it off. I woke up and had a glass of water, but it just wasn’t helping. Finally a few hours later I was able to clear my throat, and on my tongue was an individual eye lash from my night out. I was laying in my bed starring at my greatest obsession false lashes, and was so embarrassed for myself. No one was there to witness it and I was embarrassed, ha ha. The next day I told my mom and best friend and they were laughing so hard. It was just something I had to share. I mean, who does that? I still have no idea how this happened, I never go to bed with my makeup on, so this is a mystery to me.

This is my story, ridiculous, perhaps gross, but it’s my worst of the worst, are you daring enough to share your most embarrassing with me?

On a very serious note..

I'm not very serious often; however, today would have been my sister's 26th birthday, but she passed away 5 1/2 years ago. She was diagnosed with oral mouth cancer which she retracted from her braces. My sister and I got braces alittle later in our teen years. We had a few complications because the braces were always rubbing against our gums. My sister's brace was broken: a piece of metal, in the back of her mouth was jabbing into her tounge. When she told the orthodontist he basically brushed her off and told her to man up. We then later found out by our doctor we needed to see a specialist and get the tounge examined. By then the tumor had formed. The type of cancer she was diagnosed with is very rare. It develops from an infection, hers being an irratation from her braces.

The reason I write this is not for pity, but to spread knowledge.

All dentists and orthodontists are supposed to give oral cancer mouth exams every visit. So make sure you're getting yours. Also make sure in the furture or even now, that your kids are being checked on their daily visits as well. You're paying for these visits and it's your right to ask.

I hope this has informed you well and you pass this along to your loved ones and friends.

Lots of Love,
xox

Pink Lady FOTD

I did a more soft look today, the weather has been weird lately and I'm so ready for the summer to come. So this morning I played with petal pinks. The products I used were:

Eyes: (In order of how I applied)
Urban Decay primer in Eden
Smashbox photo opt
MUFE Star Powder 943
MUFE eyeshadow no. 0
Claire's cosmetics eyeshadow palette (the 2 pinks in the set)
Dior highlighter Nude Sparkle

Face: my everyday routine

Lips: Smashbox limited edition Pink Sugar lip roller
Today I begin working a second job for the summer. I worked it last year too, so I'm just going in for some touch-up summaries. I am super excited to start making some more mula. Plus, I get to see my man tonight as well. So I decided to doll myself up a bit.

Pink eyeshadow is in for the season. Do you love pink as much as I do?

To the post below, I think it's a unanimous decision we all agreed it was a flop! lol
A good idea, gone wrong. Whomp whomp!
Some pictures may be downloaded from other sources. This blog is just my opinion. If you choose to use some of the products listed, use with caution.
